Someburros, located in Chandler, AZ, is a culinary gem with roots dating back to the Vasquez family's first restaurant, Poncho's, in South Phoenix in 1972. The family's authentic Sonoran-style Mexican recipes, notably Nana Isabel's famous tacos and red and green chili beef, gained widespread popularity. In 1986, George and Mary, son and daughter-in-law of Eusevio and Isabel, continued this culinary legacy by opening the first Someburros in Tempe, Arizona. The restaurant quickly became a Valley favorite, known for signature dishes like Pollo Fundido, slow-cooked meats, handmade tortillas, and the iconic hot sauce.
The growth of Someburros has been remarkable, expanding to 13 locations across Arizona with more on the horizon. Despite this expansion, the commitment to time-tested, made-from-scratch recipes using top-quality ingredients remains unwavering.
